Who is Camille Cook?
Camille’s journey with Christ began when she was twenty years old. She was a junior in college at Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. She was currently enrolled in an aggressive nursing program. During this time, she was stressed and seeking emotional and spiritual guidance. She went to the registrar's office and a lady who worked there invited her to church. When she went to church, she felt the presence of the Lord. She became a member of New St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church in 1990. She fell in love with the universal church and her church family.
After she graduated from DSU in 1991, she moved to Atlanta, GA with her family. After moving to Atlanta, she became a member of Greater Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church (GRSMBC). It was at GRSMBC, that she began to serve in ministry. She served as a Sunday schoolteacher, served in the nursing ministry, outreach ministry, young adult ministry, and pastoral services. She was a member of GRSMBC for three years. This is where she made lifelong friends and was taught the joys and challenges of ministry.
After three years the Lord instructed Camille to move to another ministry where she would experience tremendous growth and maturity. She became a member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (NBMBC). She was a member of NBMBC from 1994 to 2019. This is where she received prophetic preaching, in-depth teaching, and substantial spiritual growth.
In 2006, the Lord called Camille to write the booklet, Power in the Pews. This 30-page booklet is an encouragement to the Body of Christ, to embrace the power God has given each of us.
After the booklet was written, the following year the ministry was formed. Since the ministry’s inception, Power in the Pews has hosted several conferences, had an outreach ministry to the transient (homeless) population, had a radio broadcast from 2008-2020, offered services through the free clinic from 2008-2020, and currently has an online weekly podcast entitled, Weekly Nugget Biblical Teaching Simplified. Camille teaches biblical principles and topics in a very simplistic form.
Camille has been saved and serving in the Body of Christ for the last 34 years. She has also been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 26 years. She is an entrepreneur who owns two companies and is currently in medical school to become a physician.

Power in the Pews Outreach Ministry was founded on the principle that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. Jesus was born of a virgin and died on the cross for our sins. Jesus was raised from the dead, and those who believe in Christ will inherit eternal life. These principles are the foundation for this ministry.
Power in the Pews Outreach Ministry believes that Christians should know how important it is to use the power God has given. Christians should be able to share their faith in a loving and meaningful way. We use biblical truths to reach those who need Christ the most.

Power in the Pews Nursing Assistant Program (PIPNAP) is a 12-week state-approved nursing-assisted program. Upon completion of the program, you will be a certified nursing assistant. Complete our contact us form if you would like more information.
PIPM has partnered with other local agencies to provide resources and services for those who most need it. We provide monthly food and essentials to the agencies serving the homeless community.
